Broadband expansion to be launched in NE Oklahoma

 

Northeast Oklahoma is where the Oklahoma Broadband Office plans to launch its latest expansion of services.

The Oklahoma Broadband Office will officially launch broadband expansion projects with internet service provider Totah Communications to improve access to high-speed internet service in two Oklahoma counties (Washington and Osage). The projects will enhance digital access to provide economic opportunities for residents and businesses in the area.

Background:

These projects are among some 170 that are funded by the ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and ARPA Capital Projects Fund that will greatly improve high-speed internet access throughout the state, but especially in rural Oklahoma. Awarded grants administered by the Oklahoma Broadband Office will connect 70,000 homes and businesses in 57 of the state’s 77 counties.
