Crude stocks fell in Cushing and the U.S.

 

The U.S. saw a surprise drop in crude oil stocks over the past week and the same decline was recorded at Oklahoma’s Cushing Hub.

The U.S. stocks fell 1.8 million barrels the week of March 14 when there were 437 million barrels in storage reported the U.S. Energy Information Administration. It was down from the 435.2 million barrels recorded the week of March 7, 2025. However, the U.S. crude oil stocks are still 13 million barrels more than the end of January when the total was 423.8 million barrels.

Cushing’s crude stocks fell 100,000 barrels, from 24.5 million barrels the week of March 7 to 23.5 million barrels the week of March 14. The Cushing Hub has seen a gain of 2.6 million barrels since the end of January.
