Crude oil made gains despite tariff concerns

Despite concerns over what a global tariff war would do to crude oil prices, they rose on Monday.
The gain came after President Donald Trump talked of tariffs on steel and aluminum. He’s talking of a 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum imports into the U.S. and prepared to implement them late Monday.
West Texas Intermediate, the standard in the U.S. went up $1.32 or 1.9% to close at $72.32 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose $1.21 or 1.6% and finished at $75.87 a barrel.
Natural gas closed at $3.44 after gaining 14 cents or 4.08%.
For Oklahoma energy stocks, it was a positive day with gainers outnumbering losers.

Vital Energy and Matrix Service Co. each had gains of 6% followed by Ovintiv with a 5% jump.
