Transportation to be among efforts of Oklahoma Congresswoman

Transportation will be a focus of Oklahoma Congresswoman Stephanie Bice following her appointment this week to three subcomittees on the House Appropriations Committee.

Rep. Bice and Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole will again be serving together on the committee.

She was selected as the Vice Chair of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Congresswoman Bice will also serve on the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee and the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. Congresswoman Bice was first appointed to the Appropriations Committee at the start of the 118th Congress.

Serving on the Appropriations Committee allows me to ensure that the needs of Oklahoma’s Fifth District are met while working to cut wasteful and inefficient federal spending. I want to thank my friend, Chairman Tom Cole, for his leadership and support. I look forward to delivering results for my constituents.”

Rep. Cole stated he was thrilled for Bice’s appointments.

“As the new Vice Chair of THUD, working with Subcommittee Chairman, Steve Womack (AR-3), she will continue her unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility, common-sense solutions, and putting the needs of hardworking Oklahomans first. Stephanie’s thoughtful approach and strong leadership will make her an invaluable asset on this committee, and I know she’ll deliver results that make us all proud,” stated Cole.
