While the 2025 winter storm greets us with cold weather and snow, it brings back a reminder of the 2021 winter storm Uri that resulted in large power outages. Hundreds died in Texas and now the Texas Supreme Court agreed to decide whether those deaths can be blamed on utility distributors.
NBC DFW reports the Supreme Court is stepping in after a lower court allowed 200 lawsuits claiming gross negligence to move forward.
