Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers International Airport set another record in 2024 for passenger traffic, beating the previous mark by nearly 5%.
More than 4.6 million travelers flew in and out of the airport, according to the city. For the 2024 calendar year, 4,602,573 passengers passed through the airport, surpassing 2023 numbers by 4.60% or 202,524 travelers.
“Our growing community and strong economy continue to be reflected in our airline passenger numbers,” Director of Airports Jeff Mulder said.
During 2024, the airport was renamed from the Will Rogers World Airport to an international airport.
Air service enhancements played a key role this year, with United Airlines increasing service to Chicago and Houston, Frontier Airlines adding more departures to Las Vegas and Denver, Southwest adding more frequency to Nashville, Orlando, and Las Vegas, and American Airlines increasing service to Charlotte, Dallas, and seasonal service to Miami.
