Gains in crude oil stocks at Cushing and the US

 

Gains in the amount of crude oil in storage were recorded by both the U.S. and the Cushing Hub in the most recent reporting period.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Cushing saw an increase of 300,000 barrels of crude oil, from 20.7 million reported the week of Jan.17 to 21 million barrels during the week of Jan. 24.

The total crude in storage across the U.S. increased by 3.4 million barrels to reach 415.1 million barrels as of the week of Jan. 24. It had previously been 411.7 million barrels at the end of the week of Jan. 17, 2025.
