Cherokee Nation to expand EV charging ports with help of federal grant

The Cherokee Nation plans to use a nearly $11 million federal grant to expand its electric vehicle charging system across a dozen locations.

The $10.7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used to install 112 publicly accessible EV charging ports, according to Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr.
