Questions are being raised whether the $1.2 billion in grants to Oklahoma and 36 other states in November to make use of cleaner asphalt, concrete, glass and steel for highway projects will actually be funded in a Trump administration.

Oklahoma is set to receive $31,933,577 and the same amount was awarded to Kansas, Missouri and Colorado. New Mexico is slated to receive $29,819,424 while Texas was not listed.

The money is intended to help Oklahoma’s transportation department study, track and buy low-carbon materials. As Canary Media reported, the program is vulnerable to funding cuts in a second administration of Donald Trump. So it raises the question, just how much of the nearly $32 million will Oklahoma’s transportation department actually receive?
