Former Corporation Commission Judge dies

 

Former longtime Administrative Law Judge at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Patricia Alice Dougherty MacGuigan died the day after Christmas.

She served as an ALJ with the Corporation Commission’s Oil and Gas Division from 2003 to 2021. MacGuigan earlier had been a judge and presiding judge of the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, serving from 1982 to 1991.

She also once was an assistant district attorney for Oklahoma County and also was employed by Kerr-McGee Corp as an oil and gas ligigation attorney.

Dougherty-MacGuigan graduated at the top of her law school class in 1975 from Oklahoma City University.

A memoral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Smith Kernke Funeral home, 14624 N. May Avenue in Oklahoma City.
