State Broadband efforts move to southeast Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Broadband Office plans to launch more broadband expansion projects and do so with the internet service provider Chisholm Broadband.

The projects will improve access to high-speeed internet service in 10 Oklahoma counties and the launching will take place Thursday in Coalgate.

Background:

These projects are among 175 that are funded by the ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund and ARPA Capital Projects Fund that will greatly improve high-speed internet access throughout the state, but especially in rural Oklahoma. Awarded grants administered by the Oklahoma Broadband Office will connect more than 70,000 homes and businesses in 57 of the state’s 77 counties.
