Oklahoma’s crude oil production grew from August to September

Oklahoma’s oil production increased from August to September but remained lower than the amount of crude oil produced a year ago.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported the state’s average production rose 3.5% from one month to the next, going from 383,000 barrels a day during August to 397,000 barrels a day in September.

However, the September production was also 5.9% less than September of 2023 when there was daily production of 421,000 barrels a day.

The report showed U.S. production was down 1.2% from August to September. August production totaled 13,361,000 barrels a day nationally while it slipped to 13,204,000 barrels a day in September. The nation’s crude oil production for September increased 0.2% compared to a year ago when the daily production totaled 13,177,000 barrels.
