Texas and Oklahoma settle Red River boundary dispute

Twenty-four years after the discovery that a Texas pumping station was mistakenly placed in Oklahoma’s boundary of the Red River, the two states have reached an agreement on a new border.

The agreement was reached at a recent meeting of the Red River Boundary Commission and it means the North Texas Municipal Water District will compensate Oklahoma $10 million, according to The Oklahoman.
