Oklahoma recorded a nearly 2% increase in its September gross production tax revenue from the state’s oil and gas operations.
State Treasurer Todd Russ reported the gross production tax revenue was $85.4 million which was $1.5 million or 1.81% more than the revenue in August.
Oklahoma’s total revenue for September, $1.49 billiion, increased over September 2023 by $17.6 million or 1.2%. But revenue for the last 12 months through September, totaling $16.97 billion, reflecred a decrease of $173.18 million or 1% compared to the previous year.
Other tax sources for the same time period show total income tax increased 63.6%, total sales and use tax decreased 2.3%, motor vehicle tax decreased 4.8% and other sources increased 0.7%.
