An investigation by The Voice shows Gov. Kevin Stitt might be in violation of a state transparency law when it comes to the travel logs of a state plane he has used to fly across the country.

The probe showed the governor’s office has not followed law by citing the reason for all flights and identify who is aboard when the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s 1992 Beechcraft King Air is used.

The Governor's Office's use of a state plane is depicted by destinations of trips from Oklahoma City. Of the 43 total trips in 2023, around 10 were taken by the governor's wife, Sarah Stitt, without the governor listed as a passenger, according to flight records. The Oklahoma Voice investigation, published in the Journal Record, showed 43 trips were made in the plane last year and 10 were taken by the governor’s wife and he was not listed as a passenger.

The report showed the flights by the governor and his family were to places such as Branson, Missouri; Nashville, Tenn.; Phoenix; Durango, Colorado; and various Texas cities, including Waco.
