Biden’s EPA hands out $156 million for low income solar power in New Mexico

 

Intent on supporting the growth of renewable energy sources, the Biden administration announced this week it was giving $156 million to the state of New Mexico to bring rooftop and community solar capacity and battery storage to more than 20,000 low income households.

EPA Region 6 Deputy Regional Administrator Stacey Dwyer told those on hand at an event in Albuquerque that the funding is through the Environmental Protection Agency’s Solar for All comopetitive grant program.
