Arkansas Congressman wants faster approval of energy projects

Arkansas Congressman Bruce Westerman wants Congress to do something about speeding the process of approving energy projects across the nation.

He’s filed a draft bill, even as bipartisan talks are underway to meet the demands for a target. Rep. Westerman released a draft to revamp the National Environmental Policy Act. His plan would speed up the environmental reviews and also put restrictions on legal challenges.

The Hill reported Westerman’s bill would also put restrictions on the use of new science in environmental reviews.
