Twenty to lose their jobs in Bartlesville in employment cuts by Phillips 66

Bartlesville, once the headquarters for Phillips 66, got some troubling news this week when the oil company, now headquartered in Houston, confirmed the layoffs of 20 workers at the Oklahoma facilities.

The company announced last week there would be a round of layoffs at different operations but its Bartlesville Business and Innovation Center was among them.

The latest round of layoffs at Phillips 66 reflects the diminishing presence of the company that helped create the northeast Oklahoma town. Finally, a company spokesman indicated 20 jobs were being eliminated in Bartlesville. It represents less than 1% of the Phillips 66 workforce in the northeast city.
