Southwest Oklahoma remains in an oven

With prospects of a hot lingering summer across the state, it’s no surprise which part of Oklahoma has the highest consecutive days of 100 degree-plus weather.

You’re right! Southwest Oklahoma. As the map shows, the extreme southwest corner of the state has gone 14 and 15 straight days of temperatures reaching 100 degrees or higher.

The Oklahoma Mesonet says however, we can expect slightly cooler weather as the week progresses. Maybe some rain too.
