The Saharan desert dust has returned to Oklahoma and as a result, the Department of Environmental Quality issued a health advisory for Thursday.

A large segment of the state fell under the advisory as dust filled the air and reduced visibility. The DEQ explained the advisory was necessary because of ” Fine Particulate Matter (PM2.5) (dust)”.

The advisory applied to certain sensitive groups.
