Record rainfalls were recorded Sunday morning in parts of central Oklahoma.
Some areas around Seiling reported receiving 10 inches or more while Oklahoma City’s total of 6.64 inches was ranked sixth for the all-time daily record in the city.
The Will Rogers World Airport reported 5.26 inches as of 7 a.m. but rainfall continued past that time.
Reports indicated Norman had 4.9% of rain and 7.6 inches near Canton in northwest Oklahoma. Other reports included 9 inches near the community of Cole and Slaughterville. Moore recorded 8.5 inches, 7.6 inches in Watonga and 5.5 inches in Edmond.
The National Weather Service reported the highest total around Oklahoma City was 9.94 inches east of Noble.
