Energy policy is MIA in Harris and Walz acceptance speeches

The energy industry might very well remember the Kamala Harris and Tim Walz acceptance speeches as what was not said by the two candidates.

Whether you support Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President or not, it is clear that the energy industry apparently was not on her mind when she accepted the nomination Thursday night. It was missing in action.

What do we mean?  A search of her entire acceptance speech found no mention of the word “energy.” She did not mention or  refer to any energy policy in the speech.

There was no mention of ways to lower gasoline prices that soared when Biden became President.

As for Gov. Tim Walz and his acceptance speech?

He used the word “energy” one time, and it had nothing to do with oil and gas, wind and solar or ways to lower electric bills.

It was mentioned in his pep talk about Kamala Harris.

“She has never hesitated to reach across that aisle if it meant improving your lives. And she’s always done it with energy, with passion, and with joy.”

He too made no reference to gasoline prices that are hitting the budgets of all Americans.
