After encountering legal issues that resulted in a federal appeals court ruling, a company revealed this week it will not construct a carbon capture operation as part of its $18.4 billion LNG plant under construction near Brownsville, Texas.
Officials with the NextDecade Rio Grande LNG terminal confirmed in filings with federal regulators that they are backing off plants to build a lower carbon intensive LNG project.
