Crude oil prices dropped in Tuesday’s trading while Oklahoma energy stocks recorded more gains than losses.
West Texas Intermediate, considered the US standard, dropped $1.15 and closed at $80.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
The global benchmark, Brent crude, dropped $1.12 and finished at $83.73 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
August natural gas rose 3 cents to $2.19 per 1,000 cubic feet.
More Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains than those with losses. A 9% boost was made by Mammoth Energy Services while ONE Gas rose 3%.
