Congress funds millions for water improvement projects in Woodward and Stillwater

Nearly $33 million in water improvement projects in Woodward and Stillwater were included in the recently passed Water Resources Development Act of 2024 by the U.S. House.

Congressman Frank Lucas voted for the legislation that helped the two cities in his district.

“At a time when our political system appears to be in a constant state of disorder, pieces of legislation like this remind us why we are here: to help our communities back home,” said Congressman Frank Lucas.

“The overwhelming passage of the Water Resources Development Act directs much needed funds to Oklahoma’s water infrastructure and ensures our hometowns are adequately equipped with the proper resources.”
