Texas Man Faces Federal Charges For Allegedly Flying Drone Over Baseball Stadium

Federal charges have been filed against a man accused of illegally flying a drone aircraft over a Major League playoff game last year in Texas.

The US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas has charged Carvell Banner with violating National Defense Airspace.

The incident in question happened October 19, 2023.  Banner is accused of operating what is legally called an unmanned aircraft system – or drone – in restricted airspace near and over Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The Office of Inspector General with the US Department of Transportation is conducting the investigation with the FBI and with assistance from the FAA.
