DEQ wants public input for Climate Reduction Grant program

 

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality is planning its first meeting for the Oklahoma Climate Polluton Reduction Grant program.

It will be held Wednesday, August 30 at 1 p.m. at the DEQ headquarters in downtown Oklahoma City, 707 N. Robinson.

Information will be presented about the Oklahoma grant from the Environmental Protection Agency, the state’s work plan and the goals for public engagement, propeject or program idea submission, deadlines, reports and future meeting opportunities.

The DEQ is hoping to get public feedback to assist in the creation of a plan for the state. The Department created $3 million under Phase 1 of Planning Grants. The funding came from the Inflation Reduction Act.
