Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners are among those attending this week’s National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Summer Policy Summit in Austin, Texas.
Commissioners Todd Hiett, Bob Anthony and Kim David were on hand Monday for panel discussions and presentations about the EPA’s Landmark PFAS regulation, the 20th anniversary of the Northeast Blackout, workforce diversity, reliability challenges and the thermal generation flee and predicting the future when it comes to customer costs for the energy transition.
There will also be a fireside chat with Christopher J. Ayers, President of the National Association of State Utility Consumer Advocates.
Regulators will also be briefed on such topics as “How Distribution Planning Helps Achieve State Energy Goals,” “The Nexus of Gas Prices and Affordability, Equity, and Efficiency: What Regulators Can Do to Protect Vulnerable Customers from High Costs,” and “Next Generation Broadband Technology – Is the Future Here Now?”
The summit began over the weekend and will conclude on Wednesday.
