More Continental Resources wells in southern Oklahoma

Again, OK Energy Today found itself ahead of all the completion reports filed for a series of Carter County oil wells drilled by Continental Resources.

We reported earlier this week about three Courbet wells drilled at 27 1S 3W, a site about one mile east of Ratliff City and each produced from the Woodford formation.

But two more completion reports on wells drilled on the same pad were filed later in the week, bringing the combined production to nearly 2,700 barrels of oil a day.

The latest two include the Courbet 12-27-21xhm, which produced 537 barrels of oil a day and 1,256 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 21,546 feet. Spud in July of 2022 and completed in March of 2023, the well had a true vertical depth of 8,728 feet according to the completion report.

The Courbet 13-27-16xhm, drilled on the same pad, had production of 452 barrels of oil a day along with 719 Mcf of natural gas. The drilled depth was listed at 21225 feet while the true vertical depth, according to the completion report, was 8,478 feet. The well was spud in October 2022 and completed in March of 2023.

That made for combined production of all 5 Courbet wells of 2,689 barrels of oil a day.

Continental also filed completion reports on two other wells drilled on a single pad.

The Courbet 11-21-27xhm, located at 21 1S 3W or about 2 miles northwest of Ratliff City, produced 186 barrels of oil a day and 307 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was listed at 15,510 feet in the Sycamore formation with completion in early April 2023. The true vertical depth was 9,542 feet following a November 2022 spud.

The Courbet 2-21-27xhw, completed in April of this year produced 552 barrels of oil a day from a drilled depth of 20,094 feet in the Woodford formation. The true vertical depth was 10,218 feet according to the completion report.

Their combined production was 737 barrels of oil a day.
