EPA redirects climate money refused by states

 

President Joe Biden welcomes governors and their spouses for a black-tie dinner at the White House on Feb. 11.

 

The  Biden administration has moved to get around those states that refused to take millions of dollars from the Inflation Reduction Act to plan how to cut pollution.

The EPA is sending the money to the biggest cities in the states of Florida, South Dakota, Iowa and Kentucky—the states that refused to apply for the climate money.  Rapid City, South Dakota and Iowa City, Iowa recently received funding from the EPA according to E&E News.
