Crude oil prices suffered a 2 fall on Monday and Oklahoma energy stocks fell as well. You can blame those nagging concern about the possibilities of an economic slowdown and a stronger dollar.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 2.2% on a $1.69 a barrel fall to $77.07 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished down 2.4% or $1.96 a barrel to $80.77 on ICE Futures Europe.
The rebound for Oklahoma energy stocks didn’t last long—only a day as they suffered losses in Tuesday’s trading. Helmerich & Payne dropped more than 6%, Ovintiv 5% and Unit Corporation 4%.
