US rig count increased while Anadarko Basin reported drop in numbers

 

 

The rig count in the Anadarko Basin slipped in the past week while others across the U.S. made gains according to the latest Enverus Data release.

Enverus said  the Anadarko Basin shed one rig to hit 67 running.

The U.S. rig count reached 856 during the week ended Feb. 22, rising by 11 from the previous week’s high point, according to Enverus Foundations data. The count is down 2% last month and up 13% YOY. All numbers discussed are weekly peaks to avoid the sometimes wide variability of daily numbers.

In the last week, the Permian count increased by six rigs to 345, while the Gulf Coast rose by three to 112. The Appalachia and Williston basins were flat at 55 and 42 rigs. The DJ Basin added one to reach 20.
