Crude oil prices made small gains on Monday as investors wondered how Russia’s plans to cut crude production might impact trading. A few Oklahoma energy stocks recorded significant gains for the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude managed a 42-cent increase or 0.5% to reach $80.14 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude for April delivery went up 22 cents a barrel for a 0.3% gain to $86.61 on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas fell 11 cents to $2.40 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks were split in Monday’s trading with some making gains and others recording losses. NGL Energy Partners jumped nearly 28% while Mammoth Energy managed a 5% gain.
