Not only did crude oil prices fall on Friday, so did most Oklahoma energy stocks as investors showed signs of increased concern the Federal Reserve will get more aggressive with interest rate hikes.
West Texas Intermediate crude finished down 2.74% on a decline of $2.15 a barrel to close at $76.34 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude dropped $2.14 or 2.51% and finished the day at $83 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas fell 11 cents to $2.28 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Friday turned out to be a day of losses for other energy stocks according to the Texas Energy Report.
