Company planning St. Louis expansion hit with $33 million fine for pollution overseas

 

An Israeli company planning a St. Louis facility to manufacture components for lithium ion batteries agreed to pay a $33.5 million fine for pollution at a site in Israel.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported it was the largest such penalty in Israel’s history.
