Canadian firm drills geothermal well in New Mexico

 

 

While University of Oklahoma scientists carry out geothermal tests near Tuttle, a Canadian firm recently drilled an 18,000 foot well bore in southwest New Mexico to do the same.

The well drilled by Eavor Inc. turned out to be the deepest hole ever drilled in New Mexico in a move to tap geothermal energy reported the Albuquerque Journal.
