Thursday’s trading saw crude oil prices in the U.S. rise again while global oil prices slipped largely because of a weak U.S. dollar. But the day’s trading also brought a dramatic loss for ONE Gas Inc. and others.
West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery went up 67 cents to close at $81.22 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for February delivery slipped 9 cents a barrel and finished at $86.88 on ICE Futures Europe.
January natural gas fell 19 cents to $6.74 per 1,000 cubic feet.
The bottom fell out for ONE Gas as it experienced a 17% loss for the day. Mammoth Energy suffered an 8% loss and Gulfport Energy dropped 5%.
