Osage Nation launches its own broadband effort

 

The Osage Nation has started efforts to bring internet to its northeast Oklahoma reservation through a tribally-owned broadband department.

Called Wahzhazhe Connect, the department will construct 16 cell towers and more than 200 miles of new fiber optic lines over the next two years to connect residents of Osage County with the internet world reported Tribal Business News.
