Lynn Granger is giving the energy industry a new story - ColoradoBiz Magazine

The American Petroleum Institute announced this week the naming of a Region Director for the Midwest and Mountain West Regions.

Lynn Granger will take over the position after serving as Executive Director of API Colorado since 2019.

“Lynn possesses every leadership quality needed to lead our industry forward and has consistently demonstrated the ability to achieve successful policy outcomes in various complex political environments,” said API Vice President for State Government Relations, Rolf Hanson.

“As new legislatures are seated and new governors inaugurated in state capitols across the country, I have every confidence that Lynn and the entire state government relations team will continue to meet the moment and deliver for our members and our industry.”

Prior to joining API Colorado, Granger was with Colorado Concern, where she led all operational and strategic execution for the organization, supporting legislative candidates and statewide policies that promote a sound economic future for Colorado. She was also the Communications Director for the Colorado Department of Revenue, where she served as the department’s subject matter expert and primary media liaison for all outreach and engagement efforts.

Granger began her career as a soldier in the U.S. Army before embarking on a civilian communications career which included service as strategic communications advisor to the Commander of United States Army Europe, a 3-star billet, based in Wiesbaden, Germany.

In her new role, Granger will lead strategy for state legislative and regulatory policy in the Midwest region as well as provide continued strategic oversight to API’s Colorado operations.
