Air Force cargo jet damaged runway at Stillwater airport

An Air Force cargo jet that landed without permission at the Stillwater airport in Oklahoma left damage to the regional airport runway.

Officials say the plane carried the U.S. Air Force Academy women’s basketball team when it landed last Sunday before a Tuesday game at Oklahoma State University.

The C-17 Globemaster is 45 tons heavier than the maximum weight capacity of the runway reported the Associated Press.
