Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners will meet this week to consider a request from Oklahoma Natural Gas Company that could see a nearly $2 a month increase in rates for the firm’s customers.
Oklahoma Natural Gas filed an application in March for approval of its Performance Based Rate Change Plan calculation. The request seeks a base rate increase of $19,668,043 which translated into an average monthly bill increase of $1.95 for residential customers and 51 cents more for residential low-income customers. It will mean another $23 a year for most residential customers and slightly more than $6 a year additional for the low income residential customers.
A possible vote by regulators might be taken during the Tuesday morning meeting that is scheduled to begin at 9:30.
