Lawsuit blaming Xcel Energy for deadly Colorado fire to move forward

A lawsuit blaming Xcel Energy for the December 2021 fire that destroyed a thousand homes near Denver will be allowed to move forward ruled a judge.

District Judge Christopher Zenisek rejected Xcel Energy’s motion to dismiss the class action lawsuit reported Colorado Hometown Weekly.

The fire burned more than 6,000 acres and destroyed more than 1,000 homes in unincorporated Boulder County.
