Shareholder accuses 3 oil majors of secretive tax practices

ConocoPhillips and two other oil giants, Exxon Mobil Corp and Chevron Corporation are being accused of a lack of transparency over their global tax practices.

The three companies have faced shareholder resolutions by Oxfam, the British-founded confederation of 21 independent charitable organizations that focus on the alleviation of global poverty.

Oxfam America contends the three energy companies carry out “secretive tax practices” according to a report by BENZINGA.
