New wells reported in Grady and Kingfisher Counties

 

Oil and gas exploration leads to new wells in Oklahoma – Oklahoma Energy  Today

 

Some of the most recent completion reports on file with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission show 5 Hinkle Oil and Gas wells in Kingfisher County and two Continental Resources wells in Grady County.

Continental’s two wells, drilled on a single pad located at 17 6N 6W , a site about 3 miles northeast of the town of Ninnekah, had combined production of 537 barrels of oil a day. But their gas production was significant at nearly 19,000 Mcf a day.

The George 3-17-8xhm, completed in late July, produced 359 barrels of oil a day along with 10,527 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 25,025 feet in the Mississippian formation. The completion report showed the well was spudded in March 2022.

The George 2-17-8xhw, drilled at a depth of 25,325 feet and completed July 29 of this year, produced 8,331 Mcf of natural gas and 178 barrels of oil a day. The completion report indicated the well also had a March 2022 spud date.

Hinkle Oil & Gas Inc. had a busy summer, completing five wells in Kingfisher County in August and September. Two of the wells were on a single pad and had combined production of 647 barrels of oil a day.

Located at 31 18N 5W, 8 miles east of Dover, the Lincoln North Unit 80-6ho had production of 415 barrels of oil a day and 606 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 12,023 feet in the Oswego formation. The completion report showed completion was made Sept. 6 of this year following an August 7 spud date.

The Lincoln North Unit 79-4ho, completed on Aug. 31, 2022 produced 232 barrels of oil a day and 354 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 12,017 feet, also in the Oswego formation. The completion report indicated the well was spudded on Aug. 4, 2022.

The remaining wells were also Lincoln wells. The Lincoln North Unit 12-1ho, located at 27 18N 5W or about 11 miles east of Dover, produced 352 barrels of oil and 369 Mcf of natural gas a day from a drilled depth of 11,537 feet in the Oswego formation. The well was spudded August 20 and completed Sept. 12, 2022 according to the completion report.

The Lincoln North Unit 91-4ho, drilled at 4 17N 5W, a site 10 miles east of Dover, had production of 232 barrels of oil a day and 466 Mcf of natural gas. Spudded August 10 and completed Sept. 7, the well had a drilled depth of 6,434 feet, also in the Oswego formation.

The Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit 50-4ho, located at 17 17N 5W or about 9 miles east of Dover, produced 35 barrels of oil a day and 13 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth into the Oswego formation was 11,880 feet. The completion report showed an Aug. 3, 2022 spud date with completion made Aug. 26.

 

While only two of the Lincoln wells were drilled on the same pad, all five of the wells had combined oil production of 1,266 barrels a day.
