New western Oklahoma gas well for Continental

Continental Resources expects its oil output to surge 28% after Permian buy

 

Drilling in western Oklahoma by Continental Resources resulted in a Custer County gas well with production of more than 14,000 Mcf of natural gas a day.

The company filed a completion report this week showing the Schrock 3-14-23-26xhm, located at 14 14N 14W,  a site about 4 miles southeast of the town of Thomas.

The well, spudded in November 2021 was completed May 20 of this year at a drilled depth of 28,035 in the Mississippian formation. Its production totaled 14,455 Mcf of natural gas.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc. of Houston filed completions on two Canadian County wells drilled on a single pad. The Star Bia 8-13n-7w 1mh was drilled at 5 13N 7W, a site about 2 miles north of the Lucky Star Casino at Concho. It produced 86 barrels of oil a day and 131 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 16,154 feet upon its April 25 completion. It had a February 2022 spud date.

The sister well, The Star Bia 8-13n-7w 2mh was completed the same date with production of 75 barrels of oil a day and 191 Mcf of natural gas from 16,735 feet in the Mississippian formation.

Mewbourne Oil Company filed a completion report on an Ellis County well, the Brosh Unit 34/3 Bo 5hc located at 27 22N 26W, a site about 6 miles northwest of Shattuck. Mewbourne, located in Tyler, Texas reported production was 275 barrels of oil a day and 484 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 18,185 feet and completion was made April 27, 2022 following a February spud date.
