Evergy hit with $500,000 fine over consumer protection law

Evergy, the largest electric utility in Kansas agreed this week to pay a $500,000 penalty for allegedly violating consumer protection laws.

The company sponsored home electrical warranties that provided no benefit reported the Kansas Reflector.
