Prison sentence upheld for pipeline protester

An environmental activist sentenced to eight years in prison for trying to sabotage construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline has lost her case with a federal appeals court in Iowa.

The court in Des Moines, Iowa upheld the prison sentence for Jessica Reznick who pleaded guilty last year to a charge of conspiracy to damage an energy facility in 2016 and 2017 reported the Associated Press.
