Canadian leader calls for revival of Keystone XL pipeline

Deer gather at a depot used to store pipes for the planned Keystone XL oil pipeline in Gascoyne, North Dakota.

While the Biden administration is at odds with even its own Democrats in Congress over calls to ban oil purchases from Russia, a Canadian leader says it’s time to revive the Keystone XL oil pipeline, the one killed by President Biden on his first day in office.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney told reporters this week such a revival would increase U.S. energy security during the Russian invasion of Ukraine reported Business Insider.

It’s a call that would likely get the support of Oklahoma’s congressional delegation since all decried the President’s original move to stop construction of the oil pipeline.
