Crude oil prices made another gain on Friday as the U.S. benchmark moved closer to $80 a barrel, helping oil to end up with a 4% increase in prices for the week.
West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery finished up $1.05 or 1.3% at $79.35, the highest close since Halloween, 2014.
Global benchmark, Brent crude for December delivery rose 44 cents or 0.5% and closed at $82.39 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe. Earlier in the week, Brent hit a three-year high of $83.47.
The 4% gain for the week came after OPEC+ announced it would stay on the course of gradually bringing back crude production.
Oklahoma energy stocks rebounded on Friday with a 7% gain by Cypress Environmental and 4% gains recorded by Continental Resources, Gulfport Energy and Mammoth Energy.
