Oil production in North Dakota is flat and here’s why—

North Dakota might be considered the second most prolific producer of crude oil in the U.S. but its production is flat thanks to a shortage of workers caused by the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

The state is also home to extensive drilling operations by Oklahoma’s Continental Resources Inc. but reports indicate drillers are faced with a shortage of fracking crews.
